L.251
A typical German lamp with the combination of smooth copper parts with black lacquered bands of wrought iron, which was quite popular in its time. This type of lamp was probably quite trendy, so that very renowned German lamp manufacturers such as Wild & Wessel also had them in their range. Wrought iron is usually found in British floor lamps.
With this lamp, I needed almost no work; it was complete and neatly cared for. I only replaced the ball shade, whose painting was quite worn, with a tulip shade made of green glass, which provides a colour counterpoint to the lamp.
The additional container made of sheet zinc inside the vase is pitted in places. However, this affects neither the appearance nor the function of the lamp.
