This lamp is an elaborate and high quality French lamp, made before the end of the 19th century. Its shape and appearance have similarities to products of the Empire period. The cast base is solid; the connecting piece between the two ceramic parts is made of turned solid brass. The top of the vase is decorated with a very beautifully stamped brass band of floral garlands.

The ceramic parts are glazed in dark cobalt blue. The short column part is additionally painted with sparse golden ornaments.

The lamp was electrified at some point, because the brass font had a hole at the bottom that was soldered completely inadequately. I cut the hole free and soldered it again.

The only well-fitting 10-lines Kosmos burner I had available was unfortunately nickel-plated. But I sanded off the nickel layer quite a bit.

To match the high-quality design of the lamp, I then added a beautiful ball shade of St. Louis, which completes the lamp very tastefully in terms of size and ornamentation.
