An interestingly designed French pillar lamp with diagonally fluted lamp parts. I actually only bought the lamp because it had a rare pinch/ball chimney. I had initially believed this chimney to be an Agni chimney. But it did not fit my Agni burner. Ara later clarified that the chimney was designed for 20''' Brillant Reform burners by Gebr. Brünner.

Nevertheless, the lamp remained in the collection. In particular, the continuous diagonal rib shape of the lamp bodies is interesting: the base and the glass font of Baccarat have ribs running to the right, whereas the ribs of the column have the opposite direction.

The column and the base were completely intact except for a crack at the connector between the base and the column. I repaired the crack with a larger brass plate, which I shaped to fit and soldered from the inside fully under the crack.

The burner supplied was a duplex burner from Veritas; unfortunately a wick knob was missing from one axle, so I had to replace it. I used a Reform Kosmos burner by Hugo Schneider and a matching Kalthoff chimney.

The large, new tulip shade from Karlskrona suits this lamp quite well.

Repaired the crack from the connector at the base with a fully soldered brass plate on the back.

Base of brass sheet, diagonally ribbed, round Ø 156 mm, hermetically sealed at the bottom with an iron plate, probably filled with sand.
Column of diagonally twisted sheet brass. Connector between base and column of sheet brass, cracked.
Font of clear crystal glass by Baccarat, diagonally ribbed, removable with the threaded rod, Ø 162 mm.

Wick knob marked: Reform-Rund-Brenner. Wick knob back: Initials HS.
Wick tube marked: 14.
Flat wick 67 mm.

Glass chimney:
14’’’ Kalthoff chimney. Height 276 mm, Ø fitter 53 mm.
Marked: Kalthoff-Cylinder Gesetzlich geschützt 14''' + K. Lampen Cylinder Kalthoff in a star frame.

Shade and shade holder:
Tulip shade, colourless glass, frosted, embossed, flat upper rim. New production, presumably by Karlskrona Lampfabrik, Sweden.
Height 200 mm, Ø fitter 85 and bulge 185 mm.
85 mm globe holder for 14’’’/15’’’ burners.

Lamp dimensions:
Height up to collar 45.3 cm, total height with chimney 77.0 cm.
Total weight 2880 g.
