An attractive French Art Nouveau lamp in an excellent state of preservation. The base/column combination of cast zinc is nickel-plated and the nickel coating is excellently preserved except for 2-3 small chips.

The explicit Art Nouveau ornamentation is impressive; very floral-flowing in the French Art Nouveau style. The font also looks very beautiful to match.

The glass font has a short hairline crack at the collar, but this is hardly visible. The burner by S.I. Paris is also nickel-plated to match the lamp base. I painted a matching brass globe holder with chrome spray paint so that it would not detract from the rest of the appearance.

The tulip shade I chose has stylised iris blossoms as a motif in an Art Nouveau design. The slender shape and inwardly curled rim at the top are not common. I think this tulip shade is the perfect partner for this lamp, as its slender, unusual bud shape fits perfectly with the elegant, slender lamp. Unfortunately it is unsigned, but it probably comes from a renowned French or Austrian manufacturer.

Base of very ornamentally cast zinc, in pure French Art Nouveau style, multiple openwork, very well nickel-plated, on 3 feet, side length 19 cm. Stamped under the foot: Déposé 30018. Nickel coating in very good condition except for 2-3 tiny chips.
Font of frosted glass with enamel painting, Ø 152 mm, not removable.

14’’’ Kosmos burner of S.I. (= Societé industrielle d’articles d‘éclairage), Paris.
Wick knob marked: Logo of SI Paris. Synthetic resin insert.
Flat wick 66 mm.

Glass chimney:
14’’’ Kosmos chimney. Height 259 mm, Ø fitter 53 mm.
Marked: Cristal de Bohême - Casino 14''' - Importé de Tchecoslovaquie + radiant star in an oval frame.

Shade and shade holder:
Tulip shade, colourless glass in the shape of a calyx, frosted, cameo-etched iris motifs in Art Nouveau style, upper rim curled inwards several times.
Height 188 mm, Ø fitter 64 and bulge 126 mm.
70 mm globe holder for 14’’’/15’’’ burners, lacquered with chrome paint.

Lamp dimensions:
