The lamp is a very attractive, large salon lamp in a very typical French style. Built around 1900. You could say that it still breathes the air of a Belle Epoque salon in Paris.

The beautifully modelled female figure is graceful and very cheeky with her bare breasts. The flowing robe behind her is screwed on specially. The figure sits on a round, light beige marble ball, which in turn is installed on a pompous, baroque pedestal. The raised hand of the figure holds a stylized flower into which the metal undermount of the font is screwed. The finely patterned glass font fits the raised lamp very well without appearing overloaded with additional colour painting.

Another highlight of the lamp is the St. Louis tulip shade. The sides of the tulip are decorated with four medallions with four different landscape and building motifs. The top of the tulip has a fluted crown; and it complements this beautiful lamp very well.

The lamp exudes a cheerful, playful grandeur and conveys the pompous, glamorous style of the haute-bourgeois Parisian world at the turn of the century.

Large base made of baroque shaped and openwork zinc cast on four feet, 18 x 18 cm, Ø 217 mm. A beige marble ball between the base and the figure.
The female figure with flowing robes in Art Nouveau style, also made of cast zinc. Base and figure with dark brown patina.
Font made of colourless glass, with a fine cross pattern, Ø 145 mm.

French tulip shade of St. Louis (signed), colourless glass, frosted and embossed, 4 medallions with cameo-etched landscapes, fluted top rim.

70 mm globe holder for 14’’’/15’’’ burners.
